Role Description

We are seeking an experienced
Level 2 Support Engineer
with strong expertise in
Microsoft 365
and
Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
to join our IT support team. The successful candidate will provide second-line technical support, resolve escalated incidents, and contribute to the stability, security, and optimisation of our Microsoft cloud environments.

Requirements

* Minimum 3 years' experience
in a Level 2 (or equivalent) IT support role
* Strong hands-on experience with
Microsoft 365 administration
* Proven experience supporting
Azure Virtual Desktop
* Solid understanding of:
* Azure core services (VMs, networking, storage)
* Identity and access management (Entra ID / Azure AD)
* Group Policy and Intune (Endpoint Manager)
* Windows 10/11 and Windows Server
* Experience working within ITIL-based support environments
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users

Key Responsibilities

* Provide
Level 2 technical support
for Microsoft 365 services including:
* Exchange Online
* SharePoint Online
* OneDrive for Business
* Microsoft Teams
* Entra ID (Azure AD)
* Support, manage, and troubleshoot
Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
environments, including:
* Host pools, session hosts, and application groups
* FSLogix profiles
* User access and performance issues
* Investigate and resolve escalated incidents and service requests from L1 support
* Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
* Monitor system performance, availability, and security across Microsoft cloud services
* Assist with onboarding/offboarding users and device management
* Contribute to documentation, knowledge base articles, and support procedures
* Work closely with infrastructure, security, and third-party vendors when required
* Participate in change management, patching, and service improvement initiatives
* Provide occasional out-of-hours or on-call support as needed

Certifications

* Microsoft AZ-104: Azure Administrator – Preferred
* Other Microsoft certifications (e.g. MS-102, MD-102) are an advantage
