Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Technician to support the delivery and maintenance of the Theatre of Light Dream Point Experience. This role combines hands-on technical operations with occasional facilities and maintenance support, ensuring a seamless visitor experience and the smooth running of the venue. The Technician will play a key role in managing AV systems, projection mapping technology, and liaising with external
suppliers, while also assisting in budget monitoring and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AV systems, projection mapping equipment,
lighting, and sound to ensure high-quality daily shows and events.
Assist in the planning, setup, and decommissioning of immersive experiences,
exhibitions, and events.
Work with external suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of services and
adherence to safety standards.
Support the General Manager in monitoring budgets, tracking expenditure, and
preparing technical/maintenance reports.
Ensure all operations comply with health and safety policies, risk assessments, and
technical regulations.
Provide facilities and maintenance support as required, including oversight of venue
infrastructure and minor repairs.
Contribute to the development of new technical solutions and enhancements for visitor
engagement.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in technical theatre, live events, or immersive/experiential
environments.
Strong knowledge of AV systems, projection mapping, and lighting control.
Practical knowledge of facilities maintenance and contractor management.
Budget tracking and reporting experience desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required.
