Moore is a leading Irish provider of accountancy and advisory services for smart, commercially ambitious enterprises seeking the highest standards in client service and expertise. Due to ongoing growth in our tax group, we are currently seeking to recruit a Tax Manager (Compliance) to join our tax team.
With excellent opportunities for career progression this is a position which can be based at any of our office locations, including Cork, Galway, Dublin and Dun Laoghaire. The role focuses on providing high-quality tax compliance services to our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities: Compliance Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio primarily focused on corporate tax compliance, with scope to expand into personal income tax and VAT, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with all relevant tax obligations.Review and Oversight: Review compliance deliverables prepared by junior staff, ensuring quality and accuracy.Client Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for clients on compliance matters, including advising on the impact of tax law changes and responding to Revenue correspondence.Technical Research: Conduct research on tax technical compliance and advisory manners, including the application of evolving tax developments.Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across departments to deliver coordinated and efficient client service.Mentoring and Development: Support the development of junior team members through mentoring, coaching, and on-the-job training; contribute to performance appraisals.Process Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of compliance processes, including the use of tax technology and transformation initiatives.Financial Oversight: Assist in managing working capital, including WIP, billing, and collections, in line with departmental targets.
Experience and Qualifications Required: CTA; an accounting qualification is an advantage but not essential.Minimum of 2–3 years' post-qualification experience in a tax compliance role, ideally within a professional services environment.Strong technical knowledge of Irish corporate and personal tax compliance.Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills.Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality service.A collaborative team player with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.Demonstrated interest in process improvement and tax technology is a plus.
