Job Description
Our client are seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to work hands-on and to lead the design and development of an innovate new product. This role blends conceptual design with practical implementation, requiring a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a proven ability to translate ideas into functional prototypes. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience translating designs from first principles into 3D models and prototypes, with a solid track record in New Product Development (NPD).
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design efforts from concept to prototype.
Develop 3D models and detailed design specifications using SolidWorks.
Apply sound engineering judgment to define hypotheses, design tests, evaluate data, and iterate effectively.
Conduct tolerance analysis and produce high-quality drafting documentation.
Collaborate with junior engineers and technicians to drive project success.
Define mechanical tests, prepare set-ups, guide technicians during execution and interpret results.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial).
5 -10 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on New Product Development.
Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in fluidics or infusion systems preferred.
Ability to work independently and lead small teams.
Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals and prototyping.
Experience in test planning and analysis.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Background in medical devices, ideally infusion systems.
Familiarity with regulatory and testing standards.
