Job Overview
The Health and Safety Technical Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with national, European, and organisational health, safety, quality, environment and energy standards.
This key position will be responsible for rolling out a robust Safety Management System at a national level, working closely with regional managers and advisors, and supporting continuous improvement programmes.
Main Responsibilities:
* Deploying the HSQE Strategy: Supporting the deployment and execution of the HSQE strategy across the organisation.
* Leading HSQE Initiatives: Leading and delivering company-wide HSQE initiatives, projects, and programmes focused on improving our clients Safety Management System.
* Action Planning: Coordinating action plans in response to HSQE non-compliances identified across business units; working closely with Regional Health & Safety Managers/teams to address them.
* Performance Data Analysis: Collecting, analysing and reporting HSQE performance data (KPIs, trends, incident/near-miss data) for senior stakeholders.
* Safety Governance: Supporting governance of safety frameworks, safety culture, leadership, and safety coach forums.
* Health and Safety Advice: Providing specialist health & safety advice to functional areas; ensuring relevant policies, procedures, and practices are implemented and embedded.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a relevant third-level qualification in health & safety, environmental science, engineering or similarly related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a health & safety / HSQE role, ideally within utility, water, or similar sectors, is required.
