Meet the Team
The Product Development & Software Engineering team within the Technology division is responsible for the development and delivery of RTÉ's digital products, including RTÉ.ie, RTÉ Player, and the RTÉ News app.
We are seeking an experienced Digital Product Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of software development initiatives across RTÉ's online services. This is a key technical delivery role, responsible for managing the end‑to‑end delivery of digital product changes - from scope sign‑off through design, development, testing, release and ongoing support.
Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring RTÉ receives maximum return on its development investment by managing resources, risks, dependencies and delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the technical delivery of RTÉ’s online product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
* Define and manage delivery plans, scope documents, and prioritisation frameworks to meet deadlines and quality standards
* Coordinate internal and external delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of development activities
* Analyse and troubleshoot delivery issues, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
* Provide day‑to‑day leadership and direction to delivery teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
* Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and accelerate delivery timelines
* Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates and delivery documentation
* Support functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) as part of the delivery lifecycle
* Manage ongoing changes and issue resolution for live digital services
* Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital product delivery
About You
* Proven experience (5 yrs+) managing and delivering large‑scale digital or software projects, ideally in high‑traffic, public‑facing environments
* Strong understanding of web and mobile application development processes, with a focus on agile methodologies
* Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams in creative and technical environments
* Track record of delivering projects on scope, on time, and on budget
* Process‑driven mindset with rigorous attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change

This appointment will be made at the Manager Grade 3 and is being offered on an ongoing full‑time contract basis. The salary range for this grade is from €50,285 to €84,381 gross per annum.
