Direct Materials Buyer
- Our client is seeking a skilled Direct Materials Buyer to manage its procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Purchase materials in support of production and services aligned with business objectives.
* Implement and maintain efficient supply chain processes, leveraging 'Lean supply' methods to meet delivery and inventory targets.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for on-time delivery, inventory levels, cost, quality, and service to achieve agreed-upon targets with suppliers.
* Lead issue resolution programs with suppliers in collaboration with engineering and quality teams.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, as well as a minimum of five years' experience in procurement within the manufacturing sector. This role requires strong relationship-building skills to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and diverse supplier organizations across Europe, Asia, and North America. Additionally,A continuous improvement mindset, self-direction,great communication skills are required.
