The primary function of the role is to place purchase orders quickly, accurately, and in line with agreed stock, OTB, and inventory controls.The role requires strong systems capability, numerical confidence, and an understanding of how accurate ordering, forecasting, and stock availability directly support sales - particularly across core NOS (Never Out of Stock) SKUs. This is an operational role critical to the day-to-day effectiveness of the buying function. Your responsibilities will include:Purchase Order PlacementPlace purchase orders accurately and at pace, in line with approved OTB and stock parametersAction auto-replenishment orders and ensure timely executionEnsure all orders are raised correctly within relevant systemsMonitor outstanding orders and follow up where requiredSales Forecasting & Stock FlowSupport sales forecasting through accurate analysis of historical data and current tradingUse forecasts confidently to inform order quantities and replenishment decisionsMaintain healthy and appropriate stock levels across NOS SKUs, recognising their importance to ongoing sales performanceProactively identify risks to availability on core lines and take action to prevent stock gapsStock & Inventory SupportMonitor stock-to-sales ratios and flag risks relating to over- or under-stockingSupport inventory controls to ensure stock levels remain commercially appropriateMaintain clear visibility of stock commitments and intakeOTB & ControlsEnsure all orders are placed within agreed Open-to-Buy limitsMaintain strong attention to financial and stock controlsEscalate discrepancies or risks promptlySystems & AccuracyUse inventory, planning, forecasting, and replenishment tools on a daily basisMaintain high standards of data accuracy and system integrityEnsure all stock and order information is correctly reflected in systemsTeam SupportProvide reliable administrative and operational support to the buying teamSupport peak trading periods with flexibility and resilienceKNOW WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORPrevious experience in a purchasing, buying admin, or stock-focused roleExperience placing purchase orders in a fast-paced environmentAbility to forecast sales with accuracy and confidenceWorking knowledge of:Open-to-Buy (OTB)Stock-to-sales ratio and inventory controlsAuto-replenishment systemsInventory, planning, and forecasting toolsStrong attention to detail and accuracyNaturally analytical with good numerical abilityConfident working with sales data and forecastsComfortable working at speed in a high-volume environmentOrganised, methodical, and process-drivenReliable, proactive, and calm under pressureKNOW WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOUWe believe that every team member should have the opportunity to curate a meaningful career that enhances professional and personal development.
