Job Purpose
This role is a key member of the Legal and Compliance Department, who will primarily focus on offering advice and solutions to HR teams and business leaders in Ireland and Germany regarding the full spectrum of HR topics from the legal perspective ("Employment Laws Compliance"). This role will also provide support on data privacy, AI compliance related topics in Ireland and Germany from the legal perspective ("Data Compliance").
The geographic coverage of this role is primarily Ireland and Germany and may be adjusted with the growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advise, mentor and guide internal stakeholders from the legal perspective, around HR decisions, including but not limited to, works council, recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, retention, discrimination, harassment, performance, discipline and separations;
* Advise, mentor and guide internal stakeholders from the legal perspective, around Data Compliance.
* Review HR and data related policies and process from the legal perspective in alignment with the global strategy and deploy the same in the region;
* Design and deliver legal trainings to coach internal stakeholders on Employment Laws Compliance and Data Compliance;
* Devise and standardize investigation process applicable to the region by working with Compliance team to formulate relevant policies and provide guidance on internal investigations of complaints from the legal perspective in relation to the Employment Laws Compliance and Data Compliance;
* Monitor legislation developments and trends in relation to the Employment Laws Compliance and Data Compliance, and provide proactive solutions;
* Manages or participates other legal projects as directed by the General Counsel.
Qualifications:
* Legal education and bar admission/license in EU are required;
* Having both private practice and in-house experience is preferred.
* Solid knowledge of all aspects of employment laws and data laws in the licensed country;
* Proven track records and project experience on Employment Laws Compliance and Data Compliance is a must; reputable qualification or certification in the relevant area is preferred.
* Hands-on, efficient, solution-oriented, and ability to provide actionable solutions;
* Knowledgeable of market best practices;
* Ability to recognize trends and identify systemic approaches to solving problems;
* Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with teams of all levels with different culture and education background;
* Proficient multi-tasking with strong attention to details;
* Team oriented person with excellent follow-up skills;
