Role Summary:
* As a key member of the finance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial stability and success of our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Finance Officer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the budget, including planning, forecasting, and controlling expenditure. You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective allocation, spending, and control of the budget. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will enable you to provide regular reporting and projection analysis to advise senior management on financial issues and inform future financial planning.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Management accounts: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
* Budget management: Develop, manage, and control budgets across the organisation
* Project spending: Oversee and manage spending on projects, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures
* Financial analysis: Provide regular analysis of spend versus budget, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions
* Financial authorisation: Work closely with senior management to review budget performance, authorise expenditure, and implement financial controls
* Advice and guidance: Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues on financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, Chartered, CPA, CIMA)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines
