OverviewStaff Analogue Design Engineer, Automotive Networking, Limerick/Valencia. The Automotive Networking Business Unit at Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) is seeking an experienced Analogue/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer to work on IC design in the application space of wired automotive connectivity using Ethernet or other similar technologies. The role requires a skilled engineer capable of identifying, architecting and designing analogue and mixed-signal blocks to meet the application needs. The candidate will work on a broad variety of IC functions, including data converters, line drivers, clock synthesis, references, power distribution and input/output. The candidate will also play a leading role in defining product, system and block requirements and architectures, and contribute ideas to advance the company’s product offering. The successful candidate will join the team at our Limerick, Ireland site or Valencia, Spain site. Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architecture and specifications
Define and architect high-performance analogue and mixed-signal blocks and systems for integrated circuits
Design and simulate circuits for tapeout readiness, while directing the IC layout for optimum performance meeting all requirements
Work closely with measurement teams to direct and review the characterisation, production test and qualification of the design
Work with the IC development team and stakeholders for future products and system
Contribute to feature, performance and cost trade-offs in IC development
Support customers to understand, evaluate and use our IC products
Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS degree in electronic engineering or equivalent
7+ years’ experience in analogue or mixed-signal design
A broad understanding of a typical integrated circuit development flow, from requirements through to product release to volume production
Design experience with circuits such as amplifiers, converters, references
Strong knowledge of analogue transistor design and trade-offs
Expertise in the use and interpretation of various analyses in analogue simulators
Experience in supporting the measurement and debug of integrated circuits in a bench or test environment
Knowledge of design for electromagnetic compatibility is an advantage
