Job summaryReporting to the Director – Senior Accounting & Tax, the Senior Financial Accountant will manage general ledger accounting for multiple EMEA entities to a level suitable for reporting to the US headquarters on a monthly close cycle. The Financial Accountant will also work with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure the timely preparation and filing of statutory accounts and tax returns.Essential ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the General Ledger accounting for assigned EMEA entities;Responsible for identifying, posting, and reviewing transactions as part of the month-end close;Responsible for the accounting and reporting requirements under U.S. and local GAAP;Monitor and support closure of sub-ledgers for assigned entities, i.e., Fixed Assets, Accounts ReceivablePerform & review monthly account reconciliations using the Cadency software applicationResponsible for the preparation of robust bridge reconciliations between US GAAP and local GAAP.Managing the associated local tax reporting;Analytical review of data and answering queries arising from your local reporting director and/or the corporate US office arising out of monthly reviewsThe development of strong relationships with key stakeholders globally.Liaise with external auditors as part of the group or statutory audit process and provide timely and accurate information and data as required for assigned entities:Assisting with the implementation of Budgetary Controls & ReportingEnsure compliance with corporate policies and internal controlsPeriodic VAT and other direct assistance with tax returns compliance for assigned entitiesContinuous promotion of ideas and process improvements as part of a continuous improvement culture;Involved in ad hoc projects – process improvements, entity incorporations, enhanced reporting etcMinimum RequirementsACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA qualifiedStrong knowledge of US GAAP and European statutory/tax reporting requirements. Experience with Oracle or equivalent ERP systems; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word3+ years Industry PQEExcellent communication skillsAbility to work within a team and cross functionally but also a self-starterFlexibility with regard to working hours during quarter-end and year-end Beneficial or would be advantageous to have Previous experience in managing the financial aspects of EMEA and/or APAC entitiesDemonstrating prior experience in a similar multinational companyExperience with extracting data using Reporting tools, Qlikview / Power-BI applications#LI-KB7#LI-Hybrid#cork
