Bar Supervisor – Opium, Dublin City Centre

We are now looking to add a Bar Supervisor to our team at Opium. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for hospitality and leadership.
Key Requirements:
* Cocktail knowledge is essential – a solid understanding of classic and contemporary cocktails.
* Fluent English is essential.
* Ability to show initiative and lead by example in a fast-paced bar environment.
* Confident in supervising and training bar staff to maintain high service standards.
* Strong customer service skills – ability to interact professionally with customers and resolve issues efficiently.
* Previous supervisory or bar experience is preferred, but not essential for the right candidate.
* Must be flexible with working hours, including late nights and weekends.
* Strong awareness of health & safety and licensing requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the daily operation of the bar, ensuring high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
* Lead and support the bar team during shifts, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and stock control.
* Help with training new staff and upskilling existing team members.
* Ensure proper cash handling, till procedures, and adherence to company policies.
* Be proactive in identifying and solving operational or customer issues on the floor.
* Support management with stock takes and ordering when required.
