Job Title: Junior Civil/Structural Engineer
In this role, you will be working on a diverse range of projects including the design and development of drawings, designs, and diagrams.
* You will be responsible for creating detailed technical designs and drawings using AutoCAD/Revit to a high standard.
* Developing design concepts and performing structural design calculations using Robot, Staad PRO-QSE, or similar software is also an important aspect of the job.
* You will collaborate with engineers and architects when preparing drawings and designs.
* Accurately calculating dimensions and allowances is crucial in this position.
* Revising drawings and layouts to incorporate changes and improvements is another key responsibility.
* Liaising with external consultants and clients is also an essential part of the job.
* You may be required to visit sites to take measurements periodically.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Level 8 degree in civil or structural engineering is required.
* 2-5 years of experience in an engineering design office (or a similar environment) is necessary.
* A strong working knowledge of current Irish Building Regulations is also essential.
* Comprehensive knowledge of British and Eurocode Design Standards for Concrete, Steel, Masonry, and Timber is required.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English) are necessary.
* You should be self-motivated with keen attention to detail and the ability to research topics thoroughly.
