About The Role
Definition: The Electrical Technician is responsible for all electrical aspects of the Water and Waste Water Treatment plants from their commissioning to the ongoing electrical maintenance inclusive of issue resolution and prevention.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with Client or Operations manager/Engineer
* Reporting to Senior Electrical Technician
* Be cognizant of costs and how those costs
* Ensure that HSQE Management Systems and processes are adhered to.
* Respond to all service requests in a timely fashion
* Maintain the company's reputation in all dealings with the Client
* Complete SSOW's or follow process specific method statements
* Ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn when required.
* Report any accident/incident which results in an injury to any person (not just employees) in accordance with Company Policy.
* Report any unsafe situation observed to one's line manager.
* Ensure any defect regarding company vehicles is noted and head office informed.
* Carry out work in a safe manner.
* Use correct equipment for job.
* Keep tools and equipment in good condition.
* Ensure you wear appropriate PPE bespoke to the activities
* Keep up to date with new equipment and methodologies
* Act as electrical commissioning engineer on design build projects
About You
Requirements:
* 5 years plus experience in the construction industry an advantage.
* Relevant qualification – FETAC/City & Guilds or equivalent experience.
* Experience in the water and waste water industry would be an advantage.
* Ability to read electrical and PNID drawings.
* Must be flexible in working hours.
* To be able to work on own initiative and to work as part of a team.
* Ability to work in confined spaces and to work at height.
* Full clean Irish/UK/EU Driving Licence
* Authorised to work in Ireland i.e. Currently hold a valid Work Permit or a Stamp 4 visa
