BUSINESS/DATA & RISK OPERATIONS ANALYST (CONTRACT) Location: Dublin 4 (fully onsite) Contract: 12 months initially with view to extension Salary: 35-45K per annumROLE OVERVIEW*We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business & Risk Operations Specialist to join our client's team.*In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the integrity of our internet business by ensuring that core risks are effectively controlled.*You will design and implement advanced risk control strategies to combat fraud and malicious activities across advertising, marketing campaigns, account security, and payment systems.*You will collaborate with global Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to maintain daily operations, enhance service reliability, and drive continuous improvements in deployment and monitoring strategies.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*Develop and maintain robust risk control frameworks to mitigate fraud and security threats in online business operations.*Utilize data mining, machine learning, and advanced algorithms to detect and prevent malicious user behavior from large-scale datasets.*Identify critical risk points within business processes and establish proactive early warning systems and emergency response mechanisms.*Drive closed-loop issue resolution, ensuring timely and effective handling of risk-related incidents.KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE*Ideally Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field or equivalent practical experience*Experience in risk control or data-driven roles; experience in internet business risk management is highly desirable.*Exceptional ability to identify anomalies and patterns in complex datasets, distinguishing between legitimate and fraudulent behaviors.*Prior experience in business risk control and familiarity with black market crime tactics and offensive/defensive methodologies.*Strong self-learning capability, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.*Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.TECHNICAL SKILLS*Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.*Hands-on experience with Python, R, or Scala for statistical modeling and data analysis.*Strong knowledge of data mining and machine learning algorithms, with practical experience in supervised, semi-supervised, or unsupervised models.If the role interests you, please get in touch via email for more details.If you are interested in other roles or career change, please do not hesitate to contact me too.Adecco is an equal opportunity employer.Adecco Ireland is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
