Responsibilities:
- Operation and Maintenance of electrical utilities for our utility, supporting the development of strategic plans to meet those requirements.
- Effective management of electrical utilities, with a strong focus on maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with colleagues from different departments to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions to optimize electrical utilities systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and provide maintenance for electrical utilities equipment to maintain peak performance and reduce operational interruptions.
- Provide technical expertise and support to colleagues in areas such as electrical distribution, power quality, and energy efficiency.
- Site point of contact for ATEX systems of work.
- Ownership of the site BCP and compliance program for electrical infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, to a minimum NFQ7.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in electrical utilities engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical utilities systems, including power distribution, transformers, generators, and switchgear.
- Proficiency in using electrical engineering software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve electrical utilities issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams.
- ATEX trained & certified an advantage.
- Knowledge or operational experience in controls or instrumentation a distinct advantage.
