Nursing Quality Manager Positions
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are delighted to announce two new opportunities for experienced and motivated Quality Managers to join a Nursing Home team.
1. South East Region – covering homes within this region
2. Midland Region – covering homes within this region
These are key leadership positions within our nursing home group, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and continuous improvement. Working closely with our Nursing Home Managers, the Quality Managers will champion best practice, regulatory standards, and drive a culture of quality and resident-focused care.
Duties & Responsibilities will include, but not limited to
Leadership & Quality Assurance:
3. Provide guidance and oversight to PICs in maintaining high standards of care aligned with HIQA
4. regulations and Sonas policies.
5. Lead the implementation of quality assurance systems, audits, and improvement plans.
6. Act as a subject matter expert for compliance, governance, and regulatory updates, ensuring PICs
7. and teams are informed and prepared.
Auditing & Compliance:
8. Plan and conduct regular audits across all homes to monitor compliance, safety, and care quality.
9. Develop corrective action plans and provide structured feedback to PICs and relevant teams.
10. Maintain accurate records of audit outcomes and ensure follow-through on recommendations.
Policy & Procedure Management:
11. Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures in line with national standards.
12. Ensure all homes implement Sonas policies consistently and support local adaptation as required.
13. Training & Mentorship:
14. Mentor PICs in best practices for clinical governance and compliance.
15. Support training needs analysis and contribute to the development of staff trainingprogrammes.
16. Promote a learning culture that values continuous improvement and professional growth.
Safeguarding & Risk Management:
17. Oversee the implementation of safeguarding frameworks across all homes.
18. Monitor incident reporting, risk registers, and complaints to identify trends and promote early
19. intervention.
20. Collaborate with teams to reduce risk and ensure appropriate escalation and follow-up procedures
21. are in place.
22. Reporting & Strategic Support:
23. Prepare regular reports on quality metrics, compliance status,and improvement initiatives for the
24. Executive Team and Board.
25. Participate in strategic planning, contributing insights and data to shape the quality agenda across the
26. group.
27. Collaborate on organisational initiatives that support service excellence, sustainability, and
28. innovation.
Education & Qualifications
29. Registered Nurse with current NMBI registration.
30. Postgraduate qualification in healthcare management, quality improvement, or clinical governance
31. (essential).
32. Qualification in auditing or risk management (desirable).
33. Full Irish driver's license (essential) and willingness to travel across sites.
Skills & Experience
34. Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a quality, governance, or compliance role within healthcare.
35. In-depth knowledge of HIQA standards, healthcare regulations, and person-centered care frameworks.
36. Proven ability to lead audits, manage risk, and support teams in a regulatory environment.
37. Strong analytical, report-writing, and communication skills.
38. Experience delivering training and mentoring others on quality and compliance topics.
39. Ability to work independently while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
