Role overview
We are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer (ERP) to join our key tech client based in Dublin 18 in a remote work model from Ireland. As a Solutions Engineer, you'll drive digital transformation for enterprise customers through Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and AI-powered business applications. You'll lead solution strategy, technical engagements, and proof-of-concept initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams and partners to deliver customer-centric value.
Responsibilities
* Lead technical pre-sales engagements, demos, and solution design sessions.
* Translate customer needs into compelling solution strategies using Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Cloud.
* Drive competitive displacement through value-based selling and innovation.
* Collaborate with internal teams and partners to orchestrate complex digital transformation journeys.
* Influence stakeholders across business and technical domains (CxO level).
* Ensure seamless hand-off to deployment teams with clear success metrics and adoption plans.
Qualifications
* Ideally Master's in Computer Science/IT or Bachelor's in Computer Science/IT
* Relevant experience in technical pre-sales or consulting
* Relevant experience in cloud/hybrid/on-prem infrastructure, architecture, migrations, or tech management
* Relevant experience in ERP/SaaS solution pre-sales
* Proven success in complex business application deals and competitive displacement
* Expertise in Microsoft Cloud and Dynamics 365 ecosystem
* Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
* Deep understanding of business value selling and customer-centric solutioning
* High emotional intelligence, empathy, and self-awareness
Responsibilities in detail
* Technical Expertise & Customer Engagement: Maintain deep expertise in Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain, Power Platform, and AI-powered solutions; Lead technical engagements, demos, and solution design sessions with customers, including CxOs and decision-makers; Address architecture, competitive objections, and formalize proposals; Drive technical wins.
* Sales & Strategy: Advance pipeline revenue by aligning solutions with customer needs and securing design endorsements; Apply advanced sales methodologies (e.g., challenger sales, business value selling); Lead discovery sessions to identify and prioritize customer challenges with business value.
* Competitive Intelligence & Market Strategy: Build and share competitive insights to shape selling strategies; Collaborate with marketing and account teams to tailor strategic plans for local markets; Respond to market threats with cross-workload strategies and feedback loops to product teams.
* Scaling & Collaboration: Leverage internal resources and partner ecosystem to scale engagements; Coach teams, define engagement rules, and ensure alignment with industry standards; Drive co-selling and co-innovation with partners and ISVs.
* Solution Design & Proof of Concept: Lead envisioning workshops, whiteboard sessions, and POCs; Translate findings into technical plans with migration paths, milestones, and risk mitigation; Address blockers early and build confidence in solutions; Ensure clear deployment plans with success metrics and early adoption of high-value features.
