Location: Letterkenny/Donegal (Project-based)/Omagh, Co. Tyrone (50/50 split) Contract: Permanent RoleAnderson McQue is partnering with a well‑established civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Advisor for a windfarm near Letterkenny. 50% of the time may be spent in the HQ of the company in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic project team and take ownership of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) compliance across large‑scale civil engineering works.The RoleReporting to the Project / Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining high SHEQ standards on site, ensuring full compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and ISO standards.Key ResponsibilitiesReview, update and communicate all Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and proceduresConduct regular safety audits, site inspections and investigations, ensuring ongoing compliancePrepare, review and maintain Method Statements and Risk AssessmentsInvestigate accidents and near misses, implementing corrective and preventative actionsDeliver site inductions to employees, contractors and visitorsPlan and coordinate SHEQ‑related trainingMaintain SHEQ documentation and administrative recordsSupport the development and maintenance of the SHEQ Management System in line with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015RequirementsNEBOSH Occupational Health & Safety qualification (held for a minimum of 2 years)Environmental and/or Quality qualifications are advantageousPractical experience implementing ISO 45001 / 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar SHEQ or Health & Safety roleExperience in substations or underground transmission works is beneficial but not essentialStrong communication, organisation and problem‑solving skillsConfident IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and ExcelFull, valid driving licenceWhat’s on OfferCompetitive salaryPension schemePrivate health insurance and cash planOngoing training and professional development opportunities
