This role offers hands-on experience across a diverse client base, providing the chance to learn from experienced payroll professionals and build a strong foundation in payroll processing, compliance, and client support. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and processing of client payrolls Ensure payroll data is accurate and submitted within deadlines Maintain employee payroll records and support with payroll reconciliations Respond to payroll queries and escalate issues where required Support in the preparation of standard payroll reports Learn to use payroll software and tools (e.g. Excel, Quantum/QPOSS) Work closely with team members to deliver a high level of client service Maintain confidentiality and adhere to internal controls and best practices Keep up to date with payroll legislation and Revenue guidelines Skills & Experience 0-2 years of experience in payroll, finance, or a related field (internship or part-time experience welcome) Genuine interest in building a career in payroll Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Professional and discreet when handling sensitive information Qualifications IPASS qualification (or willingness to pursue) is an advantage but not essential This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their payroll career in a supportive and professional environment, with opportunities for training and career development.
