In light of our ongoing success securing large-scale projects for 2024, we have a requirement for an experienced Building Services Mechanical Designer to join our team in the Dublin Business Unit.
The Designer role is a key position in our engineering delivery team.
Responsibilities
* Experience working and being proactive within a multi-discipline design team, demonstrating technical, coordination and detailing skills.
* Design and Coordination of Building Services Systems in accordance with local, national, and international standards and current best industry practice.
* Attend and participate in client and PM Group meetings.
* Provide technical support and assistance to Engineers, incorporating comments to design as required.
* Preparation of production information drawings in Revit & AutoCAD for Detail Design meeting all project schedule/deliverable dates.
* Implementing PM Group Quality & CAD Revit standards.
* Develop plantroom equipment arrangements for HVAC and piped utilities based on equipment selections and schematic design.
* Develop duct/pipe services sizing and distribution layouts based on equipment selections and schematic design.
* Feed development of layout design back into the schematics.
* Develop a clash free design resolving clashes as required with other teams, disciplines and the clash coordinator.
* The ability to manage/mentor other Building Services Revit designers on a project.
* The ability to run model reviews for the project teams as required.
Requirements
* Professional qualification in Building Services Engineering (Engineering Degree Preferred).
* Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
* Completion of Certified Revit Training and proficiency in AutoCAD/Navisworks, with clear understanding of the following for Revit:
o AIA BIM Protocol.
o BIM Forum Level of Development (LOD).
o Specification PAS.
o Creation and Sourcing of Revit families.
o Duct/Pipe System and Material Type creation/customisation.
o Template requirements View Management Visibility Settings View Template Set-up Worksets Phasing Schedule Creation Sheet Creation.
