The ED includes frailty teams and social inclusion. As an ED Clinical Nurse Manager I (CNM1) you will be leading on the care of patients and their families with the support of clinical facilitation. The CNM1 ED reports to the CNM2/CNM3 ED and Assistant Director of Nursing Divisional Lead, and is professionally accountable to the Director of Nursing MUH. Responsibilities include: Responsible for the clinical environment of patients, nursing and para- nursing staff to enable the delivery of a quality nursing service within the ED. Work within the Emergency Team as an educational resource, mentor and preceptor to newly qualified staff. Participate in triaging, assessing, planning and delivery of nursing care to patients presenting to the ED. Deliver care in our dedicated resus areas. Develop good relations and liaise with members of multidisciplinary teams in the care and support of patients. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and work with the multi-disciplinary team to improve processes/practices Participate in relevant committees to represent the nursing department as part of developing effective interdisciplinary relationships and ensuring nursing contribution to strategic developments in the hospital. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, development of PPPGs/care Bundles and Pathways in ED. Eligibility Criteria - Candidates must: Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Have at least three years post registration experience, of which one must be in an ED environment. Provide evidence of clinical and professional managerial ability, leadership, communication and organizational skills. Have completed Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training or commit to undertake same within a specified time frame. Information Technology skills essential. Excellentinterpersonal skills.
