* Lead complex product design activities.
* Develop concepts, create prototypes, and perform feasibility studies.
* Design components for various manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, stamping, machining, extrusion, and related techniques.
* Analyze data to determine suitability of design concepts.
* Mentor junior engineers in design principles and practices.
* Integrate risk-based decision-making into the design process.
* Apply Six Sigma methodologies to optimize the design/development process.
* Evaluate and ensure on-time completion of Design Control deliverables.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
* Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure high-volume assembly feasibility.
* Prioritize Voice of X feedback into product requirements.
* Create and disseminate engineering drawings, reports, and presentations.
* Travel to supplier and manufacturing sites as needed.
* Present technical findings or project status to cross-functional teams and management through meeting minutes, design reviews, presentations, and other communication channels.
* Conduct research, planning, design, verification, validation of electromechanical products and systems.
