Senior / Principal Civil EngineerDublin | €55,000 - €80,000I'm currently working on behalf of a well-established civil and structural engineering consultancy with a strong presence across Ireland and the UK.They deliver a broad range of infrastructure and development projects, including marine and coastal works, public realm schemes, transport infrastructure and multidisciplinary developments. Following continued growth in Ireland, they're now looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Engineer to support the expansion of their Dublin team.The RoleThis is a senior-level position combining technical delivery with project leadership responsibilities. You'll be involved in the design and delivery of civil / infrastructure projects from early-stage planning through to detailed design and construction. The role offers the opportunity to lead smaller projects or take responsibility for significant elements of larger schemes, while also mentoring junior engineers and supporting overall project performance. This opportunity would suit someone who:Enjoys being technically hands-onIs comfortable taking responsibility for project deliveryHas experience managing programmes and budgetsIs looking to step into greater leadership responsibilityResponsibilitiesLead or support the delivery of civil, structural or infrastructure projectsAct as Lead Engineer or manage key technical packagesPrepare, review and approve engineering design in line with relevant standardsOversee technical outputs including calculations, drawings and reportsLiaise with clients, stakeholders and external partnersSupport project planning, approvals and statutory processesManage project timelines and budgetsContribute to quality assurance and health & safety processesMentor junior team membersSupport business development activities where requiredAbout YouDegree-qualified in Civil, Structural or related Engineering disciplineTypically 5-10 years' experience within consultancy or contractingChartered status (or working toward it).
