As the Senior Engineer - Systems, you will be responsible for performing complex development and operational tasks to maintain application assets.
You will collaborate with developers, architects, and app teams facilitating operations, development, and testing functions by continuously automating and streamlining the system integration and deployment processes.
Responsibilities: Code, deploy, and support large scale, 100% serverless architectures, which will include: Design and develop enhancements to applications when identified by the creation of new components Design and develop automation when the opportunity arises Design and build Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines Prepare and present system documentation and analysis as well as write SQL queries to troubleshoot application problems Build, deploy, and source code maintenance of new versions of applications in the cloud hosting environment Systems Administrator duties such as SSH into individual Linux servers to review logs and triage problems and leveraging monitoring solutions such as Splunk, New Relic, or other monitoring tools to support delivery teams in effectively debugging applications Set up Azure resources such as load-balancers, compute instances, and databases Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (Ia C)Prepare and present technical presentations and system process documentation Ensure database efficiency, scalability, and reliability Monitor and manage database security, integrity, and access controls Experience with Datadog monitoring tool is a plus Qualifications: Bachelors Degree - Information Systems, Computer Science or related field required; Masters Degree preferred5 years' experience with Microsoft Azure technologies and services such as Compute, Storage, Databases, API Management, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions Full stack development experience with technologies such as React, Redux, and Node JS server-side development using ES2015 Knowledge of designing and building fully automated Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines Experience using automation servers like Jenkins, Go CD, Travis CIetc. Ability to define Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines using JSON or YAML and understand designing incremental promotion across environments Strong understanding of Python/Go and Bash/Power Shell scripting Experience writing scripts to automate mundane tasks Strong understanding of Linux/Unix + Windows Databases understanding: No SQL (Dynamo DB, Mongo DB), Relational (Oracle, MS SQL, My SQL, Postgre SQL)Experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (Ia C) concepts and implementation with Terraform Experience implementing Policy-as-Code and event driven security in cloud environments A working understanding of enterprise networking concepts like CIDRCode, deploy, and support large scale enterprise-grade architecture Experience designing, configuring, and deploying applications in Microsoft Azure Understanding of complex applications, micro-services, and serverless use cases Experience with Kubernetes#LI-AJ1
