Timoney designs, prototypes and tests complete drivetrains to meet client vehicle requirements while delivering solutions optimising vehicle dynamics through cutting-edge modelling and simulation techniques.

Our clients include leading vehicle OEMs and highly specialised operators worldwide. Timoney drivetrains are trusted in airport rescue and firefighting vehicles, municipal fire trucks, logistics trucks, military platforms, dump trucks, unmanned vehicles, and other applications where rugged design and reliability are essential to high performance in the most demanding environments.

Timoney engineers the world's toughest drivetrains for the world's toughest mechanical and hybrid-electric vehicles - turning torque into traction through every gear and shaft.

Based in Navan Ireland, Timoney are now looking to hire a
Quality Manager
to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

·
Management and improvement of current ISO management systems:
Maintenance and improvement and support of quality management system, management review, conducting internal auditing, maintaining and updating the quality manual.

Develop and Implement Quality Standards:
Establish and maintain quality control processes and standards to ensure products meet customer expectations as well as regulatory and Internal requirements.

Conduct Testing and Inspections:
Perform regular audits and inspections of products and processes to identify defects and areas for improvement. Inspection of incoming and outgoing product to insure conformance to specifications.

Document and Report Issues:
Maintain detailed records of quality issues, inspections, and testing results, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

Manage Customer Complaints:
Maintain detailed records of customer complaints, leading the investigation and close out of issues and implementation of corrective actions.

·
Health and Safety:
Be instrumental in ensuring workplace safety, compliance with regulations, and promoting a culture of health and safety within the organisation.

Collaborate with Teams:
Work closely with engineering, production, and other departments to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.

·
Train Staff:
Provide training and support to employees on quality assurance standards and practices to foster a culture of quality within the organisation.

Export Compliance and Control:
Ensure compliance to export control rules and regulations though the implementation of systems and processes, making export license applications & renewals, performing end user due diligence and compiling management reports.

Qualifications/Professional Skills/Knowledge:

* Third-level relevant Degree.
* Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS)
* Experience with ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
* Project management skills.
* Strong technical aptitude, ability to apply structured problem-solving techniques, and Lean Principles.
* Proven track record of:

- Leading audits (internal, external, supplier).

- Implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

- Managing supplier quality and customer complaints.

* Experience with ERP/MES systems and quality management software.
* Strong team leadership and people management abilities.
* Effective communication skills (to work across departments and with customers/suppliers).
* Decision-making and analytical thinking under pressure.
* Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
