We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Services Engineer to join our Technical Team based in Kingscourt, Co. Cavan.In this customer-facing role, you will work closely with internal technical teams across the division, providing industry-leading technical support and embracing digital technologies to enhance the customer experience. You will support customers across a wide range of construction-related technical queries and play a key role in project specification and design support.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a technical point of contact for customers on a wide range of construction industry topicsProvide technical support to both transactional and non-transactional customers when specifying productsAdvise on product performance including fire performance, environmental impact, thermal, structural and acoustic performanceCarry out design calculations using company-provided software, including:Gutter design calculationsFastener calculations and panel span checksAcoustic performance calculationsU-value and condensation risk assessmentsDevelop in-house CAD details and bespoke project-specific design detailsSupport the digital specification service, working closely with the BIM teamProvide bespoke design support to architects via AutoCAD, Revit, and other 3D software, including augmented reality presentationsDeliver virtual consultations and follow-up face-to-face meetings with architects, engineers, and contractors as requiredProactively capture and upload opportunities to Salesforce to support the external sales teamSupport junior team members and contribute to departmental projectsAbout YouPrevious experience in the construction industryRelevant qualification in Architectural Technology, Engineering, or a related disciplineExperience with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Tekla is highly desirableStrong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectivelyA proactive, customer-focused approach with strong technical problem-solving skillsWhat We OfferA permanent, full-time position in a growing technical teamOpportunities to work with leading digital and design technologiesA collaborative and supportive working environmentOngoing learning and professional developmentApply now to join a forward-thinking technical team delivering innovative solutions to the construction industry.
