The Technical Manager will form part of senior management team within the account structure with responsible for the day-to-day operations of the technical service elements of the facility management contract under his/her brief. He/she will be responsible for the management of the on-site technical team together with the management of sub-contractors to ensure that all PPM, Reactive and Project works are completed to schedule, within budget and to client satisfaction. He/she will have full responsibility for the M&E services for the building(s) under their remit, the H&S of all staff, financial accountability and reporting responsibilities. Electrical qualification is essential for this role.Key Responsibilities of Role:Manage the on-site technical team to ensure all M&E services are delivered as per SOW and toclient's satisfaction.Provide strong leadership relating to the delivery of all technical services required to supportthe delivery of facilities services at the client site.Responsibility for all day to day management, control, co-ordination, execution of all operations(either self performed by Aramark or third party supplier) under your remit.Perform fault finding & equipment defect analysis and improvement as requiredPrepare and manage operational budgets for the delivery of technical services.Ensure that all plant and equipment meet existing and upcoming legislation and that allequipment is maintained in accordance with best practices and/or manufacturer'srecommendations.Ensure asset PPM plans are up to date at all time and lifecycle information is current.Review technical designs and identify deficiencies that may have a negative impact on thedelivery of the facilities function.Review existing plant and equipment to identify where improvements can reduce operationalcosts and increase energy efficiency. Identify equipment that does not meet existing or upcomingstatutory, Health and Safety or environmental regulationsEnsure all staff, contractors and operations comply with H&S requirements, permits are in placeand all accident, near misses are reported, investigated and countermeasures implemented.Identify critical spare parts that need to be available at all times, either stocked on site oravailable from strategic suppliersEnsure all documentation relating to the delivery of the facilities function is reviewed and updatedon a regular basis. Implement a change control process to capture alterations and additions toexisting plant and equipment.Resolve issues escalated through the agreed process within the client business and Aramark.Ensure issues are investigated, closed out and signed off.Prepare operational procedures for plant and equipment to include start up/shutdown, emergencyshutdown, operational running conditions, safety interlocks etc.Management of ISO integrated management systems to ensure compliance with Aramark & AIBcertifications to 9001, 14001,18001and 50001 standards.Produce suitable periodic and ad hoc informative reports as requested by the client/Aramarkmanagement.2nd line management of HR issues i.e. ensuring company policies are fully implementedEnsure all operations have been risk assessed and actions identified have been implemented.Carry out regular safety audits of buildings, plant rooms and roof areas.Review method statements, MSDS's and ensure relevant permits to work are issued prior to workcommencing.Carry out performance reviews for Aramark staff and manage their training requirements.Promote and develop innovations for continuous improvementCandidates must possess:Qualified in an electrical discipline (electrician or electrical technician) with at least 5 yearexperience of commercial office buildings preferably in outsourced delivery.Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, refrigeration, electrical and electronic systems.5 ~ 10 years people management experience.Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals from a wide variety ofbackgrounds with leadership skills to effectively motivate and manage staff.Very good IT/computer skills including an understanding of BMS, UPS/Generator, HVAC, Lifesafety & CMMS systemsStrong background in managing third party suppliersFamiliar with Quality and Safety systems such as ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001Must remain calm, courteous and polite in all circumstancesAble to function with a high level of initiative and proactivity.Dependable and flexible, able to work independently as well as part of a team.Ability to handle multiple requests and work in a fast paced and often demanding environment.Customer and client focused - responsive to customer requests in an empathic, supportive andproductive manner
