Senior Estimator - Hybrid
Senior Estimator required for a leading main building contractor to work in Galway. The successful Senior Estimator will be responsible for a range of large commercial, industrial and educational projects.

Requirements
Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
7+ years’ experience working as an estimator for a main building contractor.
Commercial / Residential Estimating Experience.
Able to work accurately and efficiently while managing own time to meet critical deadlines.
Attention to detail and proficient with Excel.
Duties
Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor elements.
Prepare and present tender submissions within required deadlines.
Identify potential risks and opportunities within the project scope.
Obtain and analyse quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
Liaise with the Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, and Project Teams to ensure cost information is consistent and accurate.
Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings with clients, consultants, & design teams as required.
Provide input into value engineering solutions and alternative methods of construction.
Prepare detailed handover documentation for the project team once a tender is secured.
Assist the project team during early project stages with cost advice and procurement strategy.
