Our company is a market leader in providing claims handling services, assistance services and speciality risk products. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, team driven individual to join our claims department as a Warranty Claims Administrator. As a team, and individually, we are expected to meet targets set by the Company to ensure we are providing our clients and customers with a first-class service. The successful candidate for this role will be working on their own initiative, have some autonomy in their role, be involved with liaising with claimants in person, by either phone or written communication.
35 hours a week, core business days are Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm with a 1 hour unpaid rest period for lunch. These hours may change if required in order to meet business requirements. This position is a full-time position based in the office.
What you'll do:
* Support Claims and Sales functions in regard to system administration, documentation, invoicing and reporting requirements.
* Develop a full knowledge of all MAPFRE Warranty and Specialty Risks Products and Systems
* Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including but not limited to the Consumer Protection Code, Minimum Competency Code, General Data Protection Regulation and Insurance Distribution Regulation
* Where required;
* Input first notifications of loss and keep accurate records of all calls/communications
* issue documentation
* Handle incoming claims customer service enquiries from motor dealers and customers relating to our motor warranty or specialty risks products
* Process requests for policy amendment and cancellation, and liaise with accounts dept. on payment
* Process outstanding invoices in respect of repairs completed
* Manage return correspondences from incorrect email/postal addresses
* Ensure all claim payments are processed within 10 working days of invoice submission
* Completing all administrative and filing duties
* Positively contribute to the team's effectiveness, continuous improvement and overall success

What We're Looking for:
* Successful candidate must be willing to achieve or working towards APA qualification
* Minimum of 1 years' claims experience preferable
* Review and approve invoices from repairers, verifying costs and processing for payment
* Ability to use their own initiative and make good decision when under pressure in the best interests of both the customer and business
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Good planning and organisation skills in order to meet timescales
* Good numerical skills and literacy skills including Microsoft Office suite
* Technical knowledge of typical insurance products a distinct advantage
* A good knowledge and understanding of the insurance market, the basic insurance principles and regulations, is preferred
* A working knowledge of AMA our claims management system would be beneficial
APA or CIP qualification a distinct advantage. However, if you are not APA/CIP qualified this role may still be for you. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness ad Probity Standards issued by the Central Bank of Ireland. This requires the company to complete due diligence to assess the appointee's fitness and probity.
