Overview
This position focuses on supporting and developing DeltaV automation solutions for a large manufacturing facility.
The role involves design, configuration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of DeltaV systems across both standard and batch environments.
The successful candidate will work closely with operations, engineering, and quality teams to ensure reliable system performance and compliant project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver configuration, testing, and commissioning activities for DeltaV standard and batch systems.
• Support automation projects from initial concept through detailed design, implementation, and handover.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including design specifications, testing protocols, and change control records in line with cGMP and SDLC expectations.
• Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective long term solutions.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand process needs and translate them into robust automation solutions.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN, MPS, or Six Sigma principles.
• Participate in business analysis activities for capital projects, including needs assessment, solution evaluation, and preparation of business cases.
• Attend project or vendor meetings on occasion, depending on operational or project requirements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field.
• Completed training in DeltaV standard and batch.
• Five years or more experience working with DeltaV applications.
• Demonstrated capability in business analysis for capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP requirements, SDLC methodologies, and LEAN or Six Sigma practices.
• Excellent facilitation, problem solving, and decision making abilities.
• Proven competence in translating business or process challenges into appropriate technical solutions.
• Ability to work effectively within cross functional project teams.
