Staffline Recruitment Ireland is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in plant maintenance and large-scale improvement projects. This is a full time permanent role based in Limerick.

Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining plant operations and driving improvement projects. Main responsibilities include:
1. Working as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team;
2. Taking responsibility for a specific plant process area;
3. Overseeing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules;
4. Planning and coordinating major plant shutdowns and overhauls;
5. Managing contractors on assigned projects;
6. Troubleshooting issues to improve plant availability and performance;
7. Ensuring continuous improvement of safety and environmental standards;
8. Scoping, installing, and commissioning large-scale plant improvement projects.

Criteria:
14. Qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline);
15. Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within heavy industry;
16. Strong knowledge of Health and Safety practices;
17. Proven technical expertise with strong commercial awareness;
18. Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD;
19. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
20. Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
