We are seeking a motivated and reliable Junior Warehouse Operative to join our stores team.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, with opportunities to learn, develop, and progress within the company.
Key Responsibilities: Assisting with the receipt, storage, and dispatch of parts in a busy warehouse environment Handling a high volume of different parts moving in and out of the warehouse Learning to identify and work with a range of components (e.g. axles, wheels, bolts, and other mechanical parts) Operating a forklift truck to load and unload deliveries (training provided if required) Completing associated paperwork accurately and in a timely manner Lifting and moving items safely in line with Health Safety guidelines Communicating with internal teams and customers to help identify required parts and arrange shipments Supporting regular stock counts and inventory checks Assisting with stock organisation and maintaining accurate records using warehouse or stock management software Helping to keep the stores area organised and efficient to support production and assembly operations Carrying out general housekeeping and basic maintenance duties around the factory, such as cleaning, minor repairs, and upkeep of work areas Skills Attributes: Willingness to learn and develop within a warehouse or manufacturing role Good attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative Comfortable working in a hands-on, physical role Progression Development: This role offers clear opportunities for progression, including: Development into a Senior Warehouse Operative or Stores Coordinator role Training on forklift operation, stock control systems, and inventory planning Increased responsibility in stock management, planning, and process improvement Long-term progression into Stores Supervisor or Logistics / Warehouse Management roles for the right candidate
