Enterprise Security Architect.
A leading financial services firm in Dublin requires a skilled professional for a long-term contract with hybrid working options available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop IT Security architecture and roadmaps from current to future states, aligned with strategic and business goals and policies.
* Ensure alignment of business, application, data, solution, and technology perspectives with the organisation's security strategies, policies, and standards.
Leadership and Team Management:
* Provide leadership and accountability for the security architecture and engineering function.
* Lead a high-performing security architecture team, promoting best practices and efficient communication among team members.
* Delegate workloads, schedule tasks, and manage resources effectively.
Security Architecture:
* Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats at a strategic level, including security frameworks, technical security standards, and security patterns.
* Recommend new security capabilities required to deliver on the company's vision and ensure the best/most appropriate use of existing technologies and resources.
Risk Management:
* Conduct risk assessments and evaluation of IT systems and their ability to meet system and security requirements.
* Recommend mitigating controls for identified limitations and risks.
Education and Experience:
* BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent experience.
* CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC or other industry security certifications highly beneficial.
* Minimum 10+ years' experience in IT Security architecture or similar domain.
Skills and Abilities:
* Demonstrated leadership in coordinating initiatives across business and organisational boundaries.
* In-depth understanding of industry standard Security frameworks (such as ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-53, and COBIT).
* Excellent people management skills – providing direction, monitoring performance, motivating staff, and building a positive working environment.
Candidates should have strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical, and impactful manner. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to a fast-moving IT landscape and keep pace with latest thinking and new security technologies.
