We are seeking a Senior Communications Manager (Fixed Term Contract).
The Senior Communications Manager will develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that enhance the company's reputation, engage stakeholders, and support business goals.
This role, primarily focused on public affairs, requires a proactive self-starter with extensive knowledge of the Irish political system.
The key responsibilities include: Public Affairs Develop and implement the public affairs strategy. Provide strategic counsel to C-suite executives on policy issues, legislative changes, and potential risks. Manage high-impact projects on public affairs topics. Build and maintain relationships with government officials, civil service, trade associations, and relevant organizations. Monitor and analyze legislative landscape and government policies. Manage public affairs budget and relationships with communication agencies. Formulate positions on legislative and regulatory issues, aligning policies across the business. Lead significant projects independently and collaboratively. Manage internal and external stakeholders effectively within complex organizational dynamics. Prepare briefing and positioning documents, responses to government consultations, messaging, and press materials. Corporate Communications Lead the development and execution of communication strategies for brands and retail partners. Respond promptly and effectively to emerging issues. Handle media inquiries professionally and timely. Candidate Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in communications or public affairs. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Politics, or related field. Proven experience in developing public affairs strategies aligned with business goals. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Deep knowledge of the Irish political system and experience engaging with senior stakeholders. Experience in media relations and crisis communication. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear messages. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Effective relationship-building skills at all organizational levels. Experience in FMCG and/or retail is preferred.
