Our client, a globally celebrated and award-winning financial institution with a rich history spanning over 130 years, is on the lookout for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant and innovative environment, offering legal support to one of the world's most successful asset management companies.
What you'll do:
* Offer legal support to the company's Irish fund Management Company
* Advise, draft and negotiate fund documentation, investment management agreements, cross-border distribution agreements and other commercial agreements
* Support the Head of Legal with regulatory, strategic or other legal projects
* Work closely with business partners, including senior level management and directors on related matters
* Liaise with colleagues in the global legal department across various business units globally and external counsel to maintain a consistent approach to the policies of the bank
* Engage with and support Compliance and Risk Management in analysing new laws and regulations impacting the businesses and implementing processes and procedures to comply with such requirements
What you bring:
* 6+ PQE Qualified Lawyer (Irish qualified is a prerequisite) with demonstrable UCITS experience
* Experience working in a reputable financial services practice or in-house legal department of a large asset manager
* Experience working across Central Bank of Ireland, FCA, EU regulations
* Experience in lifecycle management of funds - drafting, reviewing and negotiating fund documentation and other core asset management terms
* Ability to work with Senior Business Leads across multiple disciplines and international jurisdictions
* Pro-active and diligent team player able to prioritise and work to set deadlines within a challenging environment
* Substantial in-house asset management experience required
* Role offers a degree of autonomy
