Job Description
Our client, Walsh Waste Limited, based in Oranmore, Co. Galway, is currently seeking Welders for immediate start at their facility in Galway.
* 1-3 years’ of previous welding experience required.
* Welding Certification preferred but not essential.
* There are no minimum academic requirements.
* Further training will be provided on-the-job as required.
* Candidates must be able to MIG weld, perform fillet welds and read drawings.
* To operate welding equipment in order to join metalwork pieces together.
* To use fusion welding processes based on various techniques and materials.
* To perform simple visual inspection of welds.
* To perform fillet welds, MIG welding and to read drawings.
* To wear appropriate protective gear and adhere to safety standards.
* To smooth burrs and recognise metal imperfections.
* This role requires knowledge of welding techniques, torch temperature for metal processes, metal thermal conductivity and fuel gas.
* Essential knowledge includes welding from drawings (2D and 3D), MIG welding and fillet welds.
* Essential skills include aligning components, joining metals and operating welding equipment, including oxy-fuel torch.
* Candidates must be competent to apply arc welding techniques and precision metalworking techniques.
* Candidates must be competent to ensure correct metal temperature and handle fuels.
* Candidates must have experience in recognising signs of corrosion and removing inadequate workpieces.
* Candidates must have experience in performing metal active gas welding and inert gas welding.
* Welding Certification preferred but not essential.
* Annual remuneration: €34,000.00; Pay rate €16.77 per hour.
* Work Location: Walsh Waste Limited, Deerpark Industrial Estate, Oranmore. Co. Galway, H91 RH31.
* Number of hours work each week: 39.
