Quantity Surveyor

* Award-winning Main Contractor seeks experienced Quantity Surveyor in Meath, Ireland.
* Responsibilities include cost management, detailed estimates, and contract negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist Senior QS in managing multiple live projects' costs.
* Conduct thorough cost analyses and budget preparation throughout project lifecycles.
* Analyze project specifications and drawings to identify necessary materials and resources.
* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.
* Monitor project expenditure against budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures.
* Ensure all variations, payment applications, and final accounts are managed according to contractual agreements.
* Review and assess change orders, variations, and claims, providing accurate cost assessments and recommendations.
* Collaborate with project managers and architects to optimize project costs and value engineering solutions.
* Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
* 1-5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of construction cost principles, measurement techniques, and contractual arrangements.
* Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to interpret technical drawings.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills, ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented with high accuracy in cost estimation and financial reporting.
* Proactive approach to identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
