Early Morning Chef Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Morning Chef to join our kitchen team. As an Early Morning Chef, you will be responsible for preparing fresh ingredients and menu items ahead of service, while also assisting with the delivery of prepared goods to the main service kitchen.
This role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to work independently, and a full clean driving licence.
* You will prepare ingredients, sauces, and baked items to agreed recipes and quality standards.
* You will operate kitchen equipment safely and in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
* You will coordinate with the Senior Head Chef to meet daily prep schedules.
* You will ensure kitchen and prep areas are kept clean, sanitised, and well-stocked.
* You will load, transport, and deliver prepared goods to designated locations across County Limerick.
* You will check delivery quantities against orders and maintain accurate records.
* You will assist with stock rotation, receiving deliveries, and monitoring freshness.
* You will maintain high standards of food presentation and consistency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in a professional kitchen (breakfast, bakery, or prep experience advantageous).
* Fully qualified with a recognised culinary qualification (e.g., FETAC/QQI or equivalent).
* Able to work independently in early morning hours.
* Good time management and organisational skills.
* Physically fit to handle loading/unloading and kitchen tasks.
