Purpose of the Job The role provides technical assistance to engineering to support manufacturing efforts by implementing corrective and preventative actions.
It involves assisting engineers in developing methods to control or improve manufacturing processes.
Major Responsibilities Assist engineering in providing manufacturing support by analyzing data to identify issues and trends.
Train operators on basic processes, engineering changes, and operator certification, including on-the-job training and testing.
Identify manufacturing issues by working with engineering to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Learn processes to dispose of non-conforming material using quality tools and develop knowledge of manufacturing practices and procedures.
Help develop and implement process improvements by supporting engineering in researching and validating changes to improve yield and reduce cycle times.
Support process development during new product introductions by providing input on traceability, inspection requirements, manufacturing instructions, and training materials.
Assist in qualification and validation studies by collecting, analyzing, and documenting data, and preparing procedures.
Maintain laboratory notebooks as needed.
Education & Competencies NFQ level 6 qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline with 2+ years of related experience or a combination of education and experience.Broad knowledge of technical concepts, systems, and statistical tools.
