Project Director Opportunities
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead our teams in delivering complex infrastructure projects. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of major road schemes, working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have extensive post-qualification experience in the design and construction of Major Roads Infrastructure projects, with a proven track record of delivering medium to high complexity road schemes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead large teams of multi-disciplined professionals in delivering client requirements
* Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
* Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to establish and maintain strong relationships
* Manage resources effectively, ensuring fluctuating workloads and client demands are met
* Direct project teams to deliver appropriate and cost-effective solutions, supporting those less experienced through mentoring and advice
* Develop relationships with other WSP teams to utilize additional resources required for multi-disciplinary project delivery
* Agree fees and manage the commercial position on the project
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A Chartered or Incorporated Engineer qualification
* Extensive post-professional qualification experience in road infrastructure projects
* Proven leadership skills, inspiring and leading large teams on complex projects
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong leadership and management abilities
* Ability to communicate effectively externally and internally with the business
* Strong project and commercial skills, with the ability to develop innovative delivery solutions
* Experience within roads, having worked across markets with a proven track record and knowledge in design and supervision of major road-related projects
