About the Opportunity
We are hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the engineering team at a large-scale MW Energy Centre supporting mission-critical data centre operations.
This is a rare opportunity to work on power generation assets, gas engines, cooling systems, and utilities infrastructure within a state-of-the-art facility.

What You Will Be Working On
As part of the Energy Centre's mechanical team, you will:
Carry out mechanical maintenance, inspection, and repair across all power-generation and utilities equipment
Work on gas engines/turbines, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, heat exchangers, lube-oil systems, HVAC plant and auxiliary systems
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical faults and carry out component replacement, alignment and overhaul work
Perform condition monitoring including vibration checks, thermography and oil sampling
Support start-up, shutdown and testing procedures with electrical and controls teams
Work safely within a strict permit-to-work system (confined spaces, hot work, pressure systems)
Maintain accurate CMMS records, assist with audits and support regulatory/environmental compliance
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A Level 6+ Mechanical Trade Qualification
Mechanical Fitter, Industrial Maintenance, Plant Engineering, Marine Engineering, or equivalent
3+ years' mechanical maintenance experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Power generation / CHP
• Data centre utilities
• Industrial rotating equipment
• HVAC and cooling systems
• Heavy plant / process utilities
• Marine engineering / offshore mechanical systems
Strong practical skills in:
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Pumps, compressors and mechanical seals
• Alignments, overhauls and component replacement
• Interpreting P&IDs and mechanical drawings
Excellent safety awareness
Strong team player who enjoys working in a technical, fast-moving environment
Nice to Have (Not Required)
• OEM training (Jenbacher, Wärtsilä, MTU, Cummins etc.)
• Vibration analysis or oil diagnostics certification
• Experience in energy centre, pharma utilities or data centre environments
