Our client, a respected leader in food production, is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance professional to join their high-performing team in West Cork. The Role
As Senior Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for leading and developing the QA function, maintaining technical and regulatory standards, and ensuring consistent product quality across the site. You will work cross-functionally with Production, Sales, and Innovation teams to drive compliance, support audit readiness, and contribute to the company's reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team to meet departmental and site objectives

Champion a strong food safety culture throughout the organisation

Develop and maintain food safety systems and ensure compliance with Irish and EU regulations

Manage internal audits and follow up on corrective actions

Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure product quality and technical compliance

Lead site preparation and representation during customer audits and technical visits

Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory developments

Identify and implement technical and procedural improvements

Support and motivate the wider quality team to achieve performance goals
What We Are Looking For

A qualification in a scientific or food-related discipline is desirable

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Quality or Technical role

Strong leadership experience, ideally within FMCG or food processing environments

In-depth knowledge of HACCP, IFS, and regulatory requirements

Experience with organic certification and supplier quality systems is a plus

Practical understanding of food production processes and standards

A hands-on, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
