Senior Site Engineer – Residential (SouthEast, Waterford)A Senior Site Engineer is requiredfor a leading residential developerworking on a major 120+ unit housing development in the SouthEast, Waterford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a senior role on a long-term residential project, overseeing technical delivery and mentoring junior staff.The successful candidate will play a key role within the site management team, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.Duties:• Lead setting out, surveying, and levelling works using GPS, total stations, and related equipment.• Oversee construction works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations.• Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers and site staff.• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors, and design teams for smooth project delivery.• Maintain and review daily site records, quality checks, and progress reports.• Assist in planning, scheduling, and sequencing of site activities.• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.• Resolve complex technical issues and contribute to problem-solving on site.• Support materials management, logistics, and subcontractor coordination.Requirements:• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.• 5+ years' experience as a Site Engineer, ideally on residential or housing developments.• Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, quality standards, and site coordination.• Experience leading teams and mentoring junior engineers.• Proficient in setting out equipment, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and relevant site software.• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a site management team.• Proactive and solution-oriented approach to project delivery.Salary & Benefits:• Salary circa€75–85k, depending on experience.• Excellent benefits package.• Long-term career progression with further projects planned in the region.If you are a Senior Site Engineer with extensive residential construction experience and are interested in a long-term leadership role in Dungarvan, please send your CV or contact Amy Maguire for a confidential discussion.Email: GPC will not send any applicant's CV to clients without full discussion and prior consent.GPC is a specialist construction recruitment consultancy based in Dublin with over 27 years' experience placing construction professionals across Ireland and internationally.
