Job Description
The Area Manager plays a pivotal role in the development and management of adult services in the West Sector. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the service area reflect the ethos and vision of the organization.
Key responsibilities include fostering and promoting this vision through relationships with individuals supported by the services, their families, staff members, and the wider community.

Required Skills & Qualifications
* A nursing qualification, preferably RNID/RNMH, with current registration with the NMBI or a relevant third-level qualification in the Health/Social Care Sector.
* Eligibility for registration on the Social Care Register at CORU, with a minimum of 30th November 2025.
* A minimum of 5 years' management experience in the Health Sector.
* A management qualification.
* Budgetary/financial, employee relations, and team management experience.
* Proficiency in the Irish language; however, support is available for those not proficient to develop their skills.

Benefits
* Annual leave: 28 days per annum.
* Remuneration: Department of Health DON Band 4 salary scales (01/03/2025) - €76,446 per annum x 6 increments – €89,064 per annum.
* Probationary period: 9 months from date of appointment.
* Employment may be terminated during probation if the employer finds the appointee unsuitable.
* Pensionable position.

Other Information
This is a permanent full-time position. Participation in an on-call roster is essential, along with flexibility regarding working hours. A Manager at this level will interface with external agencies and attend meetings outside normal working hours, positively promoting the organization's work.
