Health & Safety Manager – Dublin UtilitiesOverviewA leading organisation in Dublin is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and implement best-in-class safety practices across its operations with a particular focus on utilities and infrastructure projects.This is a key role responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation while promoting a strong safety culture across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth & Safety LeadershipDevelop, implement, and continuously improve the company’s Health & Safety management systemsPromote a proactive safety culture across all sites and operational teamsProvide expert advice and guidance to management and project teams on all HSE mattersCompliance & GovernanceEnsure full compliance with Irish health and safety legislation and industry standardsMaintain and update safety policies, procedures, and risk assessmentsLiaise with regulatory bodies and ensure readiness for inspections and auditsUtilities & Project OversightOversee health and safety practices across utilities and infrastructure projectsEnsure safe systems of work are in place for high-risk activities (e.g., excavation, confined spaces, live services)Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standardsLead hazard identification, risk assessments, and implementation of control measuresInvestigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implementedMaintain accurate records and reporting of safety performance metricsTraining & DevelopmentDevelop and deliver safety training programs and toolbox talksEnsure all employees and contractors are competent and compliant with safety requirementsSupport ongoing professional development in health and safety practicesRequirementsLevel 8 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related disciplineMinimum 5+ years’ experience in a Health & Safety roleProven experience working within utilities, infrastructure, or engineering environmentsStrong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and regulatory requirementsExperience conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigationsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills
