About the Role A leading Irish construction contractor is seeking a Senior EHS Advisor to join their team on a variety of high-profile projects in Dublin.
The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing, monitoring, and improving health, safety, and environmental standards across all sites.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex projects, influence site safety culture, and provide expert advice to project teams, subcontractors, and management.

Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and audit Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) procedures and policies.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to legislation and company standards.
Prepare and update Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to identify and mitigate hazards.
Deliver safety inductions, training, and toolbox talks for employees and subcontractors.
Promote a positive health and safety culture on-site and provide coaching and guidance to site management and workers.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, producing detailed reports with corrective actions.
Maintain accurate EHS documentation, including permits, certifications, inspection logs, and audit reports.
Liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections or audits.
Support environmental initiatives such as waste management, pollution prevention, and energy efficiency.
Keep up to date with evolving legislation and best practices in Health, Safety, and Environmental management.
Review subcontractor safety statements and ensure compliance with company and legal requirements.
Necessary Skills and Requirements Third-level education in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 58 years of experience in EHS roles within the construction industry.
Knowledge of OHSAS *****, ISO *****, and other management systems.
Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety training delivery.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication, organizational, and coordination skills.
Ability to engage, motivate, and work collaboratively with teams across all levels.
