Project Manager (Mechanical Engineering)
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the mechanical engineering aspects of energy efficiency projects from concept to completion, ensuring project alignment and timely delivery.
* Represent the company as the primary client-facing representative for mechanical systems, effectively managing client expectations and communications.
* Conduct on-site assessments and manage relationships with contractors and subcontractors during implementation and commissioning phases.
* Design and specify mechanical systems, including HVAC, heat pumps, and other energy-efficient technologies.
* Develop detailed technical documentation and project specifications for mechanical installations.
* Collaborate closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and energy consultants to integrate mechanical systems into holistic project designs.
* Ensure mechanical designs comply with building regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
* Provide hands-on technical oversight during installation, testing, and troubleshooting phases.
* Monitor system performance post-installation to ensure effectiveness and client satisfaction.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in energy efficiency, HVAC, renewable energy, or sustainability projects.
* Proven experience in managing client relationships and delivering engineering solutions in a project management capacity.
* In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and energy-efficient building technologies.
* Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Auto CAD, Solid Works) and energy modelling software.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems to non-technical audiences.
* Comfortable working independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
* Highly organised, with experience managing multiple projects and site-based implementation activities.
