Procurement Specialist Role:
Your new company is a leading contractor with extensive experience in mechanical and electrical services.
The successful candidate will source, negotiate, and purchase high-quality materials at cost-effective prices.
Main Responsibilities:
* Supplier Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with mechanical component suppliers, negotiate terms and conditions, and monitor supplier performance.
* Material Sourcing: Source and procure equipment and materials according to project specifications and production requirements, evaluate potential suppliers for quality and cost-effectiveness, and conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing.
* Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, estimating, surveying, and construction operations teams to understand project requirements and specifications, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on procurement strategies, and provide input on design changes and alternatives to optimize costs.
A minimum of five years' experience preferably within the Mechanical Sector is required. Excellent computer and report writing skills are also essential.
Desirable traits include results orientation, pharmaceutical procurement experience, commercial acumen, attention to detail, ability to work independently, team worker/builder skills, innovation, and process improvement. Knowledge of mechanical suppliers and subcontractors is beneficial.
